History
“Where nostalgia meets the Himalayas”
A schoolboy's summer holidays in the Shimla of the 1960s — alive with laughter, picnics, and winding mountain trails — planted the seed of a lifelong dream: a quiet family cottage nestled among the Deodhar forests, in the serene embrace of the hills. By 1991, that modest vision blossomed into Koti Resort, a retreat that carried forward the timeless warmth of Shimla's old-world charm and hospitality which was never just a service but much more rooted in Himachal's culture of grace, warmth, care, and service from the heart.
Inspired by the elegance of Swiss Chalets, the resort was designed with clusters of rooms encircling a lush central lawn, overlooking snow-capped Himalayan peaks rising on the horizon, forests whispering nearby, and valleys stretching endlessly below — reminiscent of classic hill retreats.
For more than three decades, Koti Resort has embodied the spirit of Himachal — its grace, warmth, and heartfelt hospitality.
